{"id":1398,"date":"2025-01-29T11:18:15","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T11:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sineadcassidydesign.com\/?p=1398"},"modified":"2025-01-29T11:35:16","modified_gmt":"2025-01-29T11:35:16","slug":"new-look-at-the-kingsley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sineadcassidydesign.com\/index.php\/new-look-at-the-kingsley\/","title":{"rendered":"New Look at the Kingsley"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hospitalityenews.ie\/uploads\/images\/kingsleycork.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;Kingsley hotel in Cork&nbsp;has had a tasteful&nbsp;refurbishment&nbsp;over&nbsp;the&nbsp;last 12 months, creating unity and flow throughout the public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following on from&nbsp;a&nbsp;refurbishment&nbsp;of&nbsp;The&nbsp;Spa at&nbsp;The&nbsp;Kingsley&nbsp;in 2022, which included a new look for&nbsp;the&nbsp;nine treatment rooms, The&nbsp;Kingsley&nbsp;has continued&nbsp;the&nbsp;redesign from&nbsp;The&nbsp;Spa into their public spaces,&nbsp;working with interior designer Sinead Cassidy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking inspiration from&nbsp;the&nbsp;hotel\u2019s riverside setting on&nbsp;the&nbsp;banks of&nbsp;the&nbsp;River Lee, interior designer Sinead&nbsp;Cassidy&nbsp;updated Fairbanks Restaurant,&nbsp;The&nbsp;K Lounge, Fishers Bar,&nbsp;The&nbsp;Library and breakfast serving room,&nbsp;the&nbsp;main entrance known as&nbsp;the&nbsp;Glass Box,&nbsp;the&nbsp;reception lobby,&nbsp;the&nbsp;corridors linking reception to&nbsp;the&nbsp;lift lobby,&nbsp;the&nbsp;large lift lobby area, the Deane-Woodward Suite function room, four meeting rooms and two restrooms.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;designers&nbsp;also chose to incorporate&nbsp;the history of&nbsp;the&nbsp;hotel\u2019s original site,&nbsp;Cork&#8217;s old Lee Baths which operated from 1934 until 1986, including a number of archived framed photographs along&nbsp;the&nbsp;corridors to accompany a painting that&nbsp;The&nbsp;Kingsley&nbsp;commissioned by renowned artist Oonagh Hurley, showing&nbsp;the&nbsp;diving board at&nbsp;the&nbsp;site of Cork\u2019s old Lee Baths for Fairbanks Restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continuing throughout&nbsp;the&nbsp;artwork in&nbsp;the&nbsp;hotel, guests will find many Irish artists and local photographers including Ted Murphy, Carmel Smyth and&nbsp;Sorcha Clooney.&nbsp;&nbsp;The&nbsp;public spaces in&nbsp;the&nbsp;main reception area have gained additional seating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hospitalityenews.ie\/new-look-at-the-kingsley-2294\/\">https:\/\/hospitalityenews.ie\/new-look-at-the-kingsley-2294\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp;Kingsley hotel in Cork&nbsp;has had a tasteful&nbsp;refurbishment&nbsp;over&nbsp;the&nbsp;last 12 months, creating unity and flow throughout the public spaces.
