The utilisation of Cork-based photographer Ted Murphy’s captivating imagery, focusing on the picturesque beauty of Crosshaven, Kinsale, west Cork, and beyond is an example of Sinead’s dedication to authenticity and community integration. Sinead has also worked with local newspapers and historians to secure historical photography associated with the site of the hotel, as well as commissioning stunning artwork from a number of prominent local artists. The historical importance of the Lee baths has in this way been woven into our design narrative, striking a delicate balance between modern and contemporary design with a respectful nod to the past.

After years of “self decorating” I finally decided I needed someone to help me bring a professional touch to my home. From the very beginning I found Sinead so easy to work with. She is an attentive listener and worked with me to find a décor that suited our home while guiding me on colours and textures that worked for every part of the house. Our meetings were efficient and very well structured and after each session all was clearly documented which allowed me to check and review with ease. I also found the pricing structure for Sinead’s service was very transparent as well as the cost of curtains, furnishings etc.
Sinead has built a team of fitters for curtains and furnishings which are second to none and as easy to deal with as her. Each fitting was carried out with great professionalism, on time and with excellent results.

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Sinead during the renovation of our home. Sinead has an amazing eye and a particular skill in my opinion at incorporating colour. She achieved an amazing result in our home and I appreciate it every time I walk through the front door. I can’t imagine her job was made any easier by the fact my wife and I have quite differing taste but Sinead achieved a spectacular result which we both love.
When it came to upgrading my dental surgery it was a no brainer to approach Sinead to lead the design. Even with the confines of the clinical requirements of a dental surgery Sinead found amazing ways to incorporate Wow features within it and the results are truly outstanding. Sinead’s expertise really reduced the stress levels during the project and her vision kept us on track throughout. Recently I decided to redesign my living room with the help of Sinead. She listened and knew exactly how to best use colour and lighting and because of her amazing taste she has given my room the Wow factor. She showed me how a little touch of class in a simple elegant wallpaper can be so worth it. Keeping my old furniture and upstyling with fabric and paint has both given them a new lease of life as well as being perfect for my budget. We have an old quirky house which provided Sinead with some ‘interesting’ challenges as she undertook to do up two teenage girls attic bedrooms & a shared boys bedroom.
The brief was to update sleeping accommodation, design adequate storage & study areas, solve poor lighting and give a bit of unique personality to each room.
Sinead use of mainly bespoke furnishings resulted in making best possible use of what are compromised spaces. Adding her interesting/individual colour schemes resulted in three beautiful, fully functional and comfortable bedrooms.
Sinead was a pleasure to deal with as were the people she recommended to help with the job.

Sinead worked with us on designing our kitchen and selecting paint colours on our recently renovated house in Dublin. Her input was invaluable and the result is fantastic! I had some ideas myself and it gave me lots of confidence when she was able to confirm what would work well but more importantly what wouldn’t, thereby saving me lots of time and money. Having someone to talk through it with was a great support, especially as these are expensive choices you’re going to have to live with for a long time! We had done an extension a few years ago and had never found satisfactory bedroom furniture for an awkward corner. Sinéad designed a window seat with storage underneath and an adjoining wardrobe to fit the space. And got someone to build it for me! Sinead worked with me last year on various projects throughout my home. The projects entailed sourcing samples of tiles, choosing colour schemes, re-upholstering items and sourcing new pieces of furniture and light fittings. Sinead always selects the most appropriate item that suits the client’s specific tastes and budget.
Sinead is a thorough professional, down to earth and is a pleasure to work with. She adds a personal touch and flair you won’t find anywhere else. Apart from Sinead’s obvious talents, she is just a lovely lady to deal with, which helps enormously when one is under pressure building, renovating or decorating. Sinead recommended upholstering existing items or painting cabinets instead of replacing them which makes a project much more cost effective.
Sinead has an excellent panel of tradesmen to choose from in terms of painters, upholstery, curtain fabric suppliers, cabinet makers etc.

I have used Sinead’s services to update my living room, hall and kitchen. Having worked with her before on another project for a tennis club (which turned out amazingly) I knew we would work well together but, that was an understatement. She took on board what I had in mind and developed it so perfectly. The ease of choosing colours and fabrics was because she had really understood what I was looking for and the service she provided was fantastic. Because this was all done during a pandemic it was hard for me to source samples / tradesmen / furniture etc. but she made that a breeze. Her eye for detail and style is superb. We needed to update the whole of our clubroom in the tennis club. Flooring, furniture and colours had to be chosen. But it was not simply a matter of choosing new items, these items had to stand the test of time and be hard wearing but yet stylish. We hired Sinead to come and help us as she had previous experience in this area and we were not disappointed. Not only did she come up with several suggestions and samples of each, she completely transformed the room, bringing it from a well worn area to a fabulous stylish modern common area for all members and visitors and the feedback from everyone is incredibly positive. Things that we would not have thought of were updated and the attention to detail was superb. All the tradesmen were sourced by Sinead and the whole project with supervised by her. It was completed very quickly and painlessly which was not an easy task as the club is used so much all day, every day. It was also kept to the exact budget – incredible! We are very happy with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend Sinead Cassidy Designs to anyone.

Working with Sinead has been an absolute pleasure. I had never worked with an interior designer before and was quite apprehensive. I really didn’t know what to expect. Sinead quickly put me at ease and although I was unable to verbalise ‘my style’, she somehow managed to figure it out. Then came the magic, she interpreted my likes and transformed them into colour and texture. I absolutely love the result – the colours, materials and textures are just right for us and our home.
